Which do you find yourself doing most often of the above? I love the following quote:
“The pessimist complains about the wind; the optimist expects it to change; the realist adjusts the sails.”
Wm. Arthur Ward
Intentional communication demands that you adjust your message to fit the audience or person you are communicating with. When you adjust the communication you pick up energy; energy to focus. Focus allows true two way communication to happen rapidly and effectively.
Everyone gets frustrated very easily when someone tries to share irrelevant information in a feeble attempt a communication. You have choices every time you communicate with people. You can complain that no one “gets it”, just lay your message out and expect that you have correctly hit the mark or you can expect to adjust the me
Do you tend to complain, expect or adjust?
